Such a diverse array of stories about daily food engagement!! Living in the Pacific Northwest I feel as though there is easy access to locally grown organic foods… but perhaps this also has to do with some of my privilege to afford those foods and have the mobility and time to find them! Feeling curious.

What I hope to do with this series is get people thinking about how much they control / don’t control what food they have — time and money are huge but our cities, regions, and cultures determine so much!
I love this conversation. Perhaps there is a lot to discover about the availability of good food… and it’s not always the first thing that is presented to us?
I love finding an apple tree or someone gives me a bag of apples from their tree.. I complain a bit about too much to do… and then I cook them into an applesauce and am in a state of disbelief and awe at the deliciousness and healthfulness of apples!!
Totally!!😂 And tomato, squash, green beans, stone fruit… even herbs!!😂 We have a community garden and so much grows! Excess goes to a senior center! There’s always more than enough!!
