Well articulated. Too often the only categories seem to be that someone is “the best, our girl” or a shunnable horror. There’s a lot of room in there to find someone’s writing thought-provoking, fresh and real.
I really appreciate this essay! It brought to mind a bell hooks quote I recently read in All About Love. I don't have my copy with me, so forgive my poor paraphrasing, but it was about being able to simultaneously admire and critique. I also love the phrase "thinking in public" :)

I read that Drift mag article and the vibe shift article almost back to back. I mostly just felt relief that that's not my life anymore! Thriving in my local symphony & Wingspan board game nights, obscure wine subscription vibe.
