“I can’t force myself into knowing what’s going on with crowds that I’m not part of, and I’m old enough not to want to force myself into conversations that aren’t natural to me.” Loved this! Thank you for your work, I look forward to reading and engaging with all the newsletters you publish. I genuinely find myself thinking differently and more expansively after the Monday newsletters because they always spark new thoughts.
Very excited for these salons! I really appreciate how much you do to use this space to build community and facilitate connections — it makes being on the internet feel a little less bad
This makes me happy to hear! I feel like since so many people have made the very generous decision to read and support me, I’m just lucky to be able to hopefully be a vector for new connections.
I am looking forward to this. If I may- I started hosting a CNF workshop that’s weekly and free specifically for the reasons you’re launching the salon. Accessibility, community, and to generate *something* worth exploring. It’s low impact/commitment, come and go as one pleases, drop in and out etc
I worried that by it being free it would eventually feel burdensome but it’s been the opposite. I love spaces like these, yours specifically. Thank you for this xx
Loved this reintroduction and always look forward to the weekly dispatch from you. I don’t have much of a writing community irl and miss having people to talk to about what we’re reading and working on. I’m looking forward to this salon (so fancy)!
I am so deeply excited about the salons (not the least of which I've been planning something similar in-person for my local community, and also on the internet for astrologers and tarot readers who want to build their writing practices in community so I feel affirmed and supported by your efforts here, lol.) Also what a delight to have you in my inbox on a Wednesday, and your honest and important and always beautiful (!) thoughts on publishing and writing and trying to make it all somehow work these days.
I am so glad you’re excited! I think it’ll feel low-stakes but be high reward, in terms of getting folks talking without the pressure of a Zoom or a formal class.

This is the most generous and kind comment—thank you so much for reading!!!

People have gotten so wild with “courses”—need to pull back lol. I’m so glad it resonates!

Thank you for how authentic hospitality with your writing, newsletter and voice. It says so much about the person you are. It is the person you are.
Millicent, you're too kind! Honestly feel very lucky to know you!
I'll try to stay awake!
I know i'll be late for Europe! But it being through the chat and it happening weekly means there's still time to pop in the next morning.
